Individual Counselling Services

Individual counselling is a personalised counselling session that is unique to each individual. Individual counselling equips an individual with mechanisms that help them heal, grow, develop personal development, gain restoration and win their inner power back which was lost during difficult life obstacles.

Couple Counselling

In couple counselling, couples will identify negative behaviours, negative patterns or negative attributes, which can be changed in order to improve their relationship. Couples will be equipped with skills that will allow them to work positively through their differences and promote more effective communication. In a case where there are individual personal problems that are identified during the counselling session which are contributing to the downfall of the relationship, a one-on-one session will be encouraged.

Family or Group Counselling

Family or group counselling is a counselling approach aimed to improve relationships and reducing dissonance within the family or group systems. Family or Group counselling offers a way for individuals to gain social skills and feel understood and heard amongst each other.

 

Parental Counselling and Guidance

In parental counselling and guidance, parents are given emotional support and guidance to understand the different developmental stages of their children. Parental guidance equips parents with tools to communicate in healthy ways with their children and understand their feelings and perspectives. This will result in building trust and healthy relationships between parents and children. Parents also receive counselling for challenges they might be facing in the journey of parenting, followed by techniques and tools they can use for selfcare.

Teenage Counselling

Going through adolescence is a stage which is challenging physically and psychologically for teenagers. Counselling for teenagers can assist in a variety of issues that teenagers encounter which can include: separation of parents, being bullied or bullying at school, family problems, loss of loved ones, struggling with academics and many more. Teenage counselling gives a teenager space to talk in a non-judgemental space where they will feel heard and understood. Teenage counselling also provides teenagers with healthy coping mechanisms to use when facing challenging situations or emotions. 

Trauma Debriefing and Counselling

Trauma debriefing and counselling consist of providing a safe, open, non-judgemental space where individuals can freely and openly express the traumatic event that occurred to them. Trauma counselling consists of providing emotional and psychological support after a traumatic event. Trauma counselling gives the victim an opportunity to express the difficult emotions and process the difficult event that occurred to them. In trauma counselling, you will be equipped with techniques and tools that help you cope with stressful reminders and memories of the trauma.

Children Counselling

Children counselling is a safe place and environment where children can express themselves, their thoughts, behaviours, feelings and emotions better. Counselling sessions equips children to develop coping skills that they can make use of when they are overwhelmed with emotions or difficult situations.

Loss and Grief Counselling

Loss and grief counselling provides you with healthy ways to cope with grief and ways to heal. Loss and grief counselling provides emotional support for an event that took place in an individual’s life that provoked an emotional release of grief which is a natural response to loss. Loss and grief is not only limited to death of a loved one but events such as serious illness resulting in loss of good health, divorce, loss of control of life or any other loss that took place in your life can form part of loss and grief.

Substance Abuse and Addiction counselling

Substance abuse and addiction counselling provides a supportive role for an individual after they have been discharged from treatment to motivate them towards sustained recovery and regain themselves, self-esteem and self-confidence back. Individuals are mentored and guided on how to face the outside world and their careers after they have been discharged from treatment centres and recovery homes.

The process of learning to work effectively together is known as group development and team building. Team building programmes promotes positivity, critical thinking and unity amongst team members to achieve effective communication skills and motivation to achieve the organisations common goals together. We provide tailored activities aligned to your organisations’ vision, mission and growth objectives for its employees.

Mental health workshop

In mental health workshops the components that will be discussed are cognitive health, emotional health and behavioural health for all employees, managers, leaders or community group settings to reduce stigmas associated with mental illness. These workshops are aimed to increase awareness of mental health and how it can negatively impact the progress of the company or community if it is not well taken after. Individuals will be equipped with skills on how to support each other when facing mental health issues. These workshops will promote personal and group development.

Career guidance and mentoring

Are you stuck, frustrated or confused with what you want to study after matric? Career guidance and mentoring sessions will help you with problem solving, career exploration and self-awareness of what your main interests are, which will lead you into a decision-making process which will help you decide which career path you would enjoy venturing into. The first session will be about exploring your decisions, the next sessions will be about narrowing down your decisions. This will then result to action plan of choosing the career you want followed by motivation to apply at different universities and colleges of your interest.

Any Problem that you may encounter in day to day

Everything negative that you might be facing and the different challenges that come with life should be used as an opportunity for you to rise. You might be feeling demotivated, extreme sadness or exhaustion and confusion. You might feel that you have lost your purpose and do not know where to start to rediscover yourself.
